Content Knowledge Describe the TDLR laws, rules and regulations governing cosmetology and barbering. Describe the components of professionalism such as communication skills, hygiene and appearance, wellness and ergonomics and punctuality. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and chemistry and how it is applied when performing hair, skin and nail services. Recognize and describe the signs of diseases and disorders that affect the performance of hair, skin and nail services.
Physical Skills Demonstrate compliance with the TDLR laws, rules and regulations in the practice of cosmetology and barbering. Demonstrate professional conduct including communication skills with the correct use of terminology, hygiene and appearance, wellness and ergonomics and punctuality. Demonstrate competence with techniques for hair, skin and nail services.
